These postmarks where part of a series of 70 (seventy) postmarks produced by Royal Mail for the postal towns within the United Kingdom, released on the day that the Olympic Torch visited them as it made it's way around the United Kingdom. The route started in Penzance on the 19th May 2012 and finished in Stratford, East London for the Opening Ceremony on the 27th July 2012.
