New Tariff Applicable from: 26 March 2018
The price of a First Class stamp rose by 2p to 67p
The price of a Second Class stamp rose by 2p to 58p
The price of large letter First Class up to 100g rose by 3p to £1.01
The price of large letter Second class up to 100g rose by 3p to 79p
Most international letter prices will change resulting in 4 new Machin Definitives being issued on 20 March as listed below:
£1.25 Holly Green – Europe letter up to 20g & Rest of World letter up to 10g
£1.45 Dove Grey –Rest of World letter up to 20g
£1.55 Marine Turquoise – Europe letter up to 100g
£2.65 Purple Heather – Rest of World letter up to 100g
The £2.27 International rate has been reduced to £2.25 as part of the 2018 Tariff changes. A £2.25 Plum
Purple stamp was previously issued on 24 March 2015 printed by De la Rue for the 2015 Tariff, however, to
replenish Royal Mail stocks this stamp is being re-printed, by International Security Printers, with the rest of the
2018 Tariff stamps. This re-print is being classified as a non-visible change

Additionally as part of their review of the entire suite of Country Definitive stamps Royal Mail have
standardised the typographical styling across this series bringing it in line with the current Machin Definitive. Two
new 1st & 2nd Class Definitive for each Country will be issued with the typography.

The issue date for the Tariff Change stamps is the same as the RAF Centenary stamp issue and we have produced a very limited number of covers with different combinations of stamps from both issues together.
